ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Case Managament Responsibilities: Will work closely with Clinical staff to develop and implement treatment plans that insure comprehensive, integrated case management for clients. Will participate in regular case conferences with other Vocational and Clinical staff. Deliver direct services to clients through assessment, counseling, pre-employment skills training, job search coaching, support groups and topical workshops. Will educate clients about and refer them to community resources as needed and remain up-to-date on the local/regional labor market. Deliver direct services to clients in the form of educational testing, assessment and planning with the intent to prepare clients to obtain their GED.
•Administrative Responsibilities: Maintains accurate client files. Documents significant client activities Obtains and integrates each client’s essential clinical, vocational, housing and financial information in order to assist them with comprehensive reentry planning that supports long term recovery and economic stability. Maintains documentation of essential services provided to each client. Oversee computer lab and it’s functioning.
•Community Resource Development: Will develop community resources that provide support to clients.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
•Participates in clinical events
•Works as team with Vocational staff and performs functions that further the Department and Agency
•Develop and deliver education/vocation specific workshops.
•Supervise and assist clients in their use of educational specific software in the computer lab.
EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
•GED or High School Diploma w/some college
•Knowledge of vocational counseling and facilitation
•Experience utilizing case management approach with at-risk adults
•Excellent verbal and written skills
•Outstanding interpersonal and organizing skills
•Skilled as team player and able to independently assume responsibility
•Ability to apply and demonstrated effective decision making and problem solving within context of comprehensive short and long term planning
•Adult educational assessment
•Able to design individual lesson plans per educational level of client
•Proficiency in computer use and software application
•Demonstrated experience in facilitating topical workshops
EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED
•Computer skills
•Knowledge of recovery/criminal justice
•Previous classroom instruction in adult education topics/environments
•Adult education lesson planning within pre-existing software library
