Journey Level Counselor - TI-SAT

Job Description:

The Journey Level Counselor will supervise a staff of four Entry Level Counselors and will implement program activities during AM or PM program day.

Additional responsibilities shall include, but not limited to:
• Facilitate structured process and subject matter groups
• Participate in assessment and treatment planning
• Continuing Care Planning/Re-Entry
• Conduct one-on-one or group sessions with the program participants;
• Maintain order in the family counseling sessions using conflict resolution skills;
• Maintain the gender-responsive, trauma-informed environment/culture of the program.

PREREQUISITES:
• Must be able to receive CDCR security clearance
• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years experience working in a women’s residential treatment program
• Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor
• Ability to receive clearance from the Department of Corrections.
• Knowledge of group process, facilitation, and conflict resolution.
• Strong reading, writing and communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate professional ethics, boundaries, and judgment.
• Ability to work with a diverse population and maintain strong boundaries.

COMPENSATION:  $30,000 - $32,000 plus Walden House offers a full range of benefits, including medical, dental and vision, as well as 401(A) & 403(B) for all Full time employees.
