Job Description:
The full-time Supervising Counselor responsibilities, under the direction of the LCSW/LMFT shall include, but not be limited to:
• Coordinate the program services with the LCSW/LMFT;
• Supervise the contract counseling staff;
• Participate in case conferences;
• Approve the participants’ movement through program phases;
• Ensure the IRTP matches the needs of the participant with the services available in the facility;
• Refer the participants for continuum of care services, such as DFT, CPMP, and CCRC; and
• Help to maintain the gender-responsive trauma-informed culture of the program.
PREREQUISITES:
The Supervising counselor must have a four year degree in the Social Sciences or a related field, and one year experience in supervising counseling staff in a gender-responsive program for females and certified as a substance abuse counselor at time of hire. OR An AA degree and 2 years experience as Journey Level Counselor and one as Entry Level Counselor.
Must be able to receive CDCR security clearance
